For my birthday, I gifted myself a spa treatment and even the scheduler was so friendly, kind, and wished me happy birthday! I scheduled with Fatima who was lovely.
I got the First Trial 3 Hr Special:
30 min Infrared
1 hr body scrub
30 min Japanese hydrating bath
1 hr hot stone massage
What a lovely treat! When you first walk in, they give you sandals, wash your feet, and then you go into your room. You strip down and they give you panties before going into the infrared room. There’s cool water in there for you. I went in there with my journal. I got a good sweat in and my body has a hard time regulating body temp and sweating! It’s a medical condition.
Then I got the most amazing body scrub. Aside for Korean body scrubs with the exfoliating gloves, I’m unimpressed with most of them. I’ve gotten them in Thailand and Malaysia and it feels like I’m being slathered with grainy bits. But this one was divine. They pour warm water over you, the scrub has a nice and effective but not overpowering texture, and their technique is so thorough, stimulating, and relaxing all at the same time!
You jump into the shower with sandals they give you. It was such a lovely experience as the salt rinsed off. It leaves your skin oily, which I personally love. But if you don’t like the slick feel, this might not be for you. I got a new pair of panties and a bra this time.
I thought the bra was weird to provide and honestly potentially dangerous cuz I didn’t wanna dry myself off to get wet in the bath, so you’re in soft foamy slippers which are unstable when wet with slippery skin from the oil (even if you dry off) to tie the bra in the back to sit in a tub privately… Next time I wouldn’t use it and there isn’t a place to sit down except in the bath. It’s also wrapped in plastic, so it doesn’t make sense to sit on that either.
Then I went in the Japanese bath, which isn’t filled up all the way. But there’s a wooden ladle to pour water over you. It’s a deep tub, so you can still sink in, especially if you’re short like me! The water wasn’t very warm to the touch and I worried that it won’t keep me warm, but it totally did and my core body temp is lower than most people.
They also give you cookies and oat snacks, which is amazing cuz as relaxing as this treatment is, it’s LONG! They also serve you ginger tea, which is sharp. I love it, but I don’t think it’s for everyone. If you don’t like sharp ginger tea, you can probably ask them for water instead. While I enjoyed this treatment, this one feels over hyped and I can go without it.
My last treatment was a hot stone massage and I drifted away. The pressure wasn’t very strong and there’s stroking and kneading, but it doesnt feel lazy like someone’s just slathering or sliding stones on you. The stones were a perfectly heated temp, a bit hot at first, and the size made them sooo relaxing!
One last note: Fatima coughed more than 5 times throughout the session and it didn’t bother me, I was too relaxed to care. But I can see others being uncomfortable with it. It seemed like she was reacting to the products? Like it was each time the scrub or oil was slathered onto me. But I was fine. And when I return, I’ll be asking for her again just for context.
All in all, I’d like to return and get the 2 90 min foot massages for the special price cuz what a freaking bargain!!! And maybe the facial. The reality is that there are so many beauty services in KL, so you can definitely go to other places and I’m personally exploring. But so far nothing beats the quality of Mimone. If the higher price points are an issue for you, keep an eye out for their specials. Their happy hour 2 – 90 min foot massages are an incredible deal!
As an astrologer I can calculate and predict the quality of a service, a treatment (up to 3 diff kinds), the skills of a practitioner, and the value for the price. So even before I came here and experienced it for myself, I was able to evaluate their quality. They showed high quality of service and professional demeanor.
Highly recommend esp intro trials!
I just enjoyed a hot stone massage and it was incredible! I feel relaxed and my muscles are holding less tension. Yenni was a lovely therapist and very good at her job. I would definitely recommend and plan to be back during my stay in Kuala Lumpur.
I had a 1.5-hour foot massage and a 30-minute foot scrub here. My masseuse was from Thailand and very professional—she knew exactly which pressure points to press, making my whole body relax during the foot massage. She was also very friendly, as were the staff at reception! 🙂
The place is very clean and has a pleasant, soothing scent. The price-performance ratio is very fair, and booking an appointment online is quick and easy. I had a great experience and can highly recommend this place!
This Spa is located in the mezzanine floor in Concorde Hotel KL. The place is smaller but the lymphatic massage I had was very good.
The treatment started with a foot soak then we were led in beds separated with curtains. There’s a soothing music playing lightly. The massage was soo good and strong especially while they use the stainless steel prongs. This is the first time I ever experienced that my therapist is wearing gloves (which is a little weird at first and also the skin to skin contact is gone) The gloves also produces sounds while the oil rubs on your skin. If any of the customer has latex allergies then this would be a problem.
Since the bed are only seperated with curtains you can definitely hear other customers especially the ones who are not very considerate of others (there’s a guy who kept answering his phone which is super annoying!) this should be informed by the staff – that they need to turn off their fone as this is a place for relaxation.
I can highly recommend the „Raya Glow up“ treatment. It was one of the best Massages i‘ve ever had – and I had many before. The Lymphatic Drainage Detox Massage is energizing hole body, particularly heavy legs (in my case). The following Face treatment ist relaxing an so well done, that I really fell in love with. Next time in KL I‘ll come back for sure – thank you dear therapists
